Cake Walk!

Fun and EASY cupcakes for this years school All Goblins Festival. First I baked up yummy strawberry cupcakes in Wilton's spooky skeleton cupcake wrappers. Second, I purchased eyeball foil wrapped chocolate caramels. Then ready made frosting in white and red to pipe veins. Don't get me wrong homemade butter cream is the best, but just kept it simple this year. When cakes cooled I frosted in white, added foil eyeball candy, and piped on some veins. All ready for this years cake walk. Don't you get the feeling your being watched? SPOOKY!

A visit to Apple Hill in Camino, Ca is a great way to get in the mood for Fall! Apple donuts, candy apples, pies, pony rides, and hay mazes! YEAH!

Healdsburg Day!

I love Healdsburg! Thankfully my brother lives there and October is birthday month. Weather was perfect and leaves are starting to turn. First stop the party at Grandma's Pumpkin Patch. Cute and fun for the kids. Kids in there Halloween costumes celebrated my nephews 6th birthday.

Next a quick trip into central Healdsburg. I wish we had more time. Quaint shops, restaurants, and tasting rooms line the town square. If you have not been you must go.

BOO!

FALL looks like aged copper.
Mini BOO!

BOO in layers of paint on chipboard.

BOO sparkles in glitter on a meadow green back ground.
I love painting chipboard. It is lightweight which makes it ideal for signs. Possibilities are endless. Paint, glitter, ink pads, foam stamps, ribbon, ....what would you create? View items on my Etsy!

A loss...

Sadly after writing my first post my husband and I had to take in our girl Belle. Belles legs stopped working and the vet said he felt a mass in her tummy. My husband and I have been married for 15 years and this is our first baby. When the vet asked if we had done this before it hit me, "no"and my heart sank. I suddenly felt for my parents who dealt with this same thing when I was a child an our many pets. I have to say for as nervous as I was it was very peaceful. Are vet was so nice. He even gave our girl cat food. A big treat for a dog. We sat with her till the end and gave her loves. We know Belle is in heaven with many of other awesome doggies. We will miss her.

Our Newest Family Member!

First let me say our very first girl was Belle. She is a 13 year old Aussie. What a special dog! She has been through 5 moves and 2 kids! LOL! She is a trooper and as loyal as they come. She is slowing down. Each day with her is a blessing.

So that leads us to the purchase of our new pup. Maybe she will spark some new
life into our old girl Belle or help us and our children deal with loosing her when the time comes. Not something I like to think about.

Meet Roxy! She is an 9 week old Mini Aussie. Check out those pools of blue! She is a beauty and is quickly stealing our hearts! In the last 3 days she has escaped her playpen and of course peed near the back door. Hey she did try to go out. I'll give her some credit. Now I'm sticking to the crate. This is are first time crate training a dog and not to sure how it was all going to go down. I must say night #3 was a huge success. She slept from 11-5:45! WOO HOO I feel like a new person! Much easier then my kids and the bassinet! LOL!!! I wonder was night #4 will bring?? Well we are learning fast that starting over after 13 years with a puppy is tiring us out a lot faster then it used to. We are positive though after sleepless nights, new carpet, chewed shoes, destroyed yard, and who knows what else this girl is going to be one awesome dog!

We love you Belle and Roxy!!!
